Frequently Asked Questions
Will I have to undress?
This obviously depends on the treatment you need. For example if the problem is your knee or foot it would be useful if you could wear loose fitting trousers or shorts to enable me to examine your knee or foot. If your problem is your back then you may need to wear a loose fitting top that could be pulled up to allow access.
Please remember you may only have one leg or arm with a problem but I will also need to check your good arm or leg to see if there are any differences.
Can I bring a partner/friend with me?
There is absolutely no reason why you shouldn’t bring someone with you.
The patient is under 18
For any patient under the age of 18 it is essential that an adult attends with them. I hold an up to date DBS Certificate.
How long will my appointment last?
An appointment will normally last half an hour occasionally the first appointment may take a little longer.
How much does treatment cost?
An appointment in clinic will cost £40 per treatment. Home Visits cost £50 per visit.
What Medical Insurance Companies do you use?
Most medical insurance companies are accepted including BUPA, AXAPPP but please remember it is always possible for me to contact your insurance company to see if they will allow you to be treated at this clinic.
If you are coming from a medical insurance company you will normally need to contact them to obtain an authorisation number and check whether you have an excess. If you are telephoning BUPA, in particular, could you please stress the clinic is in Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex.
Normally if you are coming from an insurance company you will not pay personally, an invoice will be sent direct to the company.
